The NHS Engagement team at the NIHR Clinical Research Network national coordinating centre are keen to connect with you at this time and have asked that we reach out to you with the request below.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to consider this, and for offering a response if you wish.
Since the outbreak of COVID-19, the importance of research is becoming more visible and immediate to NHS organisations by the day. During this unusual time especially, it remains important that we share learnings and experiences with one another. This will not only help serve the research delivery community across the country now, but also into the future.
Whether you are currently active or in isolation, it would be great to hear about any experience you may have in delivering COVID-19 studies in your NHS trust through our ‘Research Delivery Staff Learning community: Engaging with your Local NHS‘. We are particularly interested in gathering COVID-19 stories to add as a separate section to the already substantial collection of ‘Success Stories‘ already available on the community which people have previously found helpful.
If you think you have something you would like to share, please get in touch with us and we will guide and/or assist you in telling your story. In addition to what you would like to share with colleagues across the country we also think it would be of particular interest to them to hear about what your research delivery role is and how it may have shifted during the COVID-19 crisis. How does your role now link with other people’s roles and responsibilities? What are the challenges and what approaches have you taken when working to deliver priority research in your NHS organisation?
If you would like to share a COVID-19 story with the Research Delivery Staff community, then please contact lucy.gallagher@nihr.ac.uk to arrange a phone conversation to tell us more, or send a brief summary of your story in a written format to the same email. Alternatively, you can drop a note into the forum discussion set up for COVID-19 specific engagement within the Research Delivery Staff Learning Community space on NIHR Learn.
